The Equality Act requires a business makes every ‘reasonable’ effort to make adjustments to the premises to enable access. Unfortunately, after consulting architects and carrying out building surveys, due to the layout, nature, and age of the building it has proved to be beyond a reasonable commercial proposition to carry out the changes.
